Talks on Tap! Why should we care about nature?

Join us at 7Sisters Brewing for our next "Talks on Tap" event, where experts, nerds, and other people-in-the-know tell us all about a fascinating topic while we sip beer!

Dr. Harry Greene, author and professor emeritus from Cornell University, will give a presentation entitled "Natural history and esthetics: why should we care about nature?" He will discuss how the diversity of life on Earth is under serious threats from human-related causes, and how science plays well-known roles in addressing management aspects of this problem.

In 2014, Business Insider named Dr. Greene one of Cornell’s “Top Ten Professors” and he was elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. His Snakes: The Evolution of Mystery in Nature, won a PEN Literary Award, garnered a two-page spread in Time magazine, and made the New York Times’ annual list of 100 Most Notable Books. He has won numerous teaching awards and is one of the most dynamic nature authors and speakers of our time. Don't miss this one, folks!
