Dan Mazer is known onstage as "BanjerDan", banjo player and multi-instrumentalist based in Atascadero. His music is an Americana mix, rooted in straight-ahead bluegrass and branching out to include folk, country, blues, oldies, and other styles. He started playing Scruggs-style banjo in 1974, and earned a B.A. in Music Theory in 1984. The banjo has taken Dan all over the U.S. and overseas, as a solo artist, as a member of bands, and in theatrical productions and orchestras, in venues ranging from street corner busking to bar and coffeehouse gigs, to children's shows, private parties and corporate events, to music festivals, Opryland USA, and the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. http://banjerdan.net/
